What is a Rosin Press Bag
Rosin bags or extraction micron bags are pressed between the heated plated while holding plant materials like flower, kief and cannabis flowers. The micron bags provide a barrier between the plant material and the live rosin that is extracted via the micro pores of the bag, hence leaving an impurity free wax product.
Once the flower material are packed properly into the bag by removing any small gaps or by using pre-press mold, you will be able to achieve a more consistent density on the rosin that is produced during the extraction process. Due to the heat and pressure from the plates it causes the cannabis trichomes and terpenes to liquefy which then flows from the bag onto the parchment paper.
Now you don’t have to use a rosin bag, however what you will find is; the rosin will have more impurities or tiny particles or sticks on the rosin which is extracted and scrapped of the parchment paper. Therefore, using rosin filter bag enhances the dabbing quality and is a better alternative to mesh screens. A slight reduction in yield is possible with rosin micron bag but then goes back to the good old question; what you prefer quality or quantity.
In order to have consistent density across every press, you need to consider the type of press bag, the micron rating and also the dimension.
